The Club

The Windmill Bowling Club was formed in 2001  This is the last public house green left in the Town, and has been on this site for over 100 years

The Club has a mixed membership which comprises of seasoned bowlers right through to beginners .  New members are welcome to join the club which offers both full membership, for those wishing to play league matches, and associate membership for those who just want to play for fun.  Membership rates are very reasonable and further details can be found on this website.  

Teams have been entered in the Ormskirk and District Bowling League, the Westhead League and the Aughton League and there are also a series of cup competitions which are held for members.

The Club would like to thank their sponsors Unison for their support this season.  

Unison are the largest public sector union and support the Club as all local District Council workers become free associate members of the Club and hold their mixed pairs tournament on the green.  Click on the link to find out more about becoming a Unison member.
