A bit of a wipeout in this last game of the season, although perhaps not
unexpected against this strong team on a tricky green. Ian took the
kitty, only losing on the last end 21-20, with Mike and Matthew getting 19
points. Matthew caused much laughter when, on the second end his opponent
kindly did a short mark so he could reach. He promptly called for the
long tapes and had it sent back!!
I can confirm we have finished second bottom, but I think with more points
than last season.

James Senior took the kitty, but it was James Junior (Tom) whole stole the
show. Despite losing he put in a great first performance. he lead
but just tired in the end and narrowly lost 21-18. He will have a great
future ahead of him in the game. Big argument in this game - the Horse
was more like a raging stallion as a cock up on his score saw him losing about
6 points. Ken also kept up a running mumble of 'cheats' at the adjacent
bench....altogether an ill-tempered affair!!

It was the Gills that lead the way, with Dad showing the lad the way to the
kitty, snatching it from his eager little grasp in the final match. Good
performance by young Matthew though to win to 10. A great win for Ken as
well, and the Milkman delivered again. Although we only had 4 winners we
took the aggregate and the spoils.

With Ken needing just one more point, and lying in for it, he managed to
knock his opponent in to seal the draw. The Horse, playing like a
thoroughbred, took his first ever kitty though with a great win to 4. Good wins

A close match on a fast and tricky park green. Jimmy took the kitty,
but most notable was Matthew Gill's first game and first victory against a good
15 year old opponent Michael Ashley. Is Matthew the youngest ever player in the
league and is he the youngest victor ever? Mike came back against a glamorous
opponent, but her legs clearly put him off more than his did to her and he just
lost on the final end!!

WOW....another victory....in the same season .....and within 3 games of the
last win!! The Gillmeister beat his opponent Twist, who stuck on 5 and Winnie
was also on a roll(and) to share the kitty with him. Good wins also by
Jimmy and Paul meant that we took the aggregate and just won on points.
The two Jackos (Cathryn & Jacky) were both involved in thrillers but their
games turned bad when they were pipped at the post after both being well
up. We'll be challenging for promotion next.

Those that played got very wet on a new green for most of us. Crofty
just snatched the kitty from a sodden Milky 'Bowl' Kid, who managed his first
ever win (he should have worn that cowboy hat). Campbell was condensed
into just 3 points - not quite the souper performance we expected after his
near triumph at Saracens last Friday!

HURRAH - our first win of the season in this bottom of the table
clash. Ably captained (but not played) by Crofty in what I believe were
fairly inclement conditions the team produced 5 winners with the Horse snorting
triumphantly but the kitty went to a Whinny (gettit). Paul posted his
first win and the two other new boys climbed up into double figures, with the
Milky Bowl Kid's nerve just going at the end as he lost to 18 after being 15 -
7 up!

Not much to say about this apart from the obvious fact we lost. Paul
posted another good performance but Andy needs to cut down on the shredded
wheat. It was Winnie that came up trumps to win the kitty, even though
