The first time I think we have had 4 winners at this venue, so a good result really.  Ritchie capped off a fine season in this league with a kitty win.

Amazingly Bert's first kitty in the Ormskirk League this season, but with the Gillmeister out of the way it was always on the cards!!  Although we had 6 winners we just failed to take the aggregate.

The Gillmeister brought home his first Ormskirk League kitty.  In a  nail biting finish Luuv Makin just failed to win by enough to take the aggregate, bit unfortunate as we had five decent winners.

It was Predator Pike at his most vicious as he rose from the depths to swallow his prey and take the kitty - a great performance to win to 4.  This is the first time in living memory I can recall us winning at this green, helped perhaps by the fact they were a man short, but still a good result.

On a soaking green after a downpour just before the start, there were still some good games to witness.  Homer James captained for the night and secured the kitty with a good 21-8 win.  The milkman also delivered a very good 21-16 win at the end in front to some excited spectators, and looked like the cat that had got the cream!

The narrowest of defeats - by just one point - was a bit galling.  One or two players did not perform as they should have done, but great victories by Dave and Luuv Makin meant that they shared the kitty.  At least the weather was good!

Ritchie is back - we were all really pleased to see him until he had to take the shine off it by stealing the kitty!!  Seriously though, what a return and what a boost to the team.  Ian & Bert were the other winners but with several performances in single figure we were never really in with a sniff (Luuv Makin's result is not a misprint).

Not a bad Millers performance against a good Hare and Hounds team.  Result of the night was definately Stuart's, with his first ever kitty win.  Must mention the Horse's impressive win (at last) at a canter, his mane of hair flowing behind him as he galloped along.

Well this was a bit of a massacre on the infamous Cricket Club hill.  It truly was a gift horse as he was presented with two points to spare the blushes and the Pike was similarly treated.  If fact only three reached double figures, with Dave being the only win.  Gypsy Traverse wandered in just after the last two had entered the fray...somewhat dubious timing and speculation was rife about his average protecting tactics........

Three generations of Gregsons won at the Mill, the highlight being young Liam's against a toothless Pike.  The Horse fell but put up a spirited performance. However Homer James pulled off the kitty with the Gillmeister finding the only other win.

A superb opening win for the Millers and much against expectations.  Despite the Captain off roaming the camping grounds of Britain, and a couple of key players missing, the team all put on a tremendous performance on a cold and windy night.  First kitty of the year to Dave.  There should be tougher games to come though.
